Brood care - love without words

Brood care - love without words

2026-06-07 – 2027-01-11

The ability to show care and protect offspring is deeply rooted in many animal species. Such behaviors are controlled by nerves and hormones, similar to humans. Whether insect, frog, bird or fish: they also show bonding behavior. This exhibition shows mothers, fathers, helpers and entire communities that demonstrate how devotion makes a start in life possible. Perhaps animals feel differently. Maybe not like us. But parental love is everywhere. Further information: museum-wiesbaden.de/brutpflege

Art & Religion

Art & Religion

2026-11-12 @ 18:30

An event of the Catholic Adult Education Center (KEB) Limburg, with Dr. Simone Husemann and Dr. Stefan Scholz. Understanding ART and understanding the WORLD enter into a dialog with each other in this series of events. One Thursday evening a month, the focus is on a work of art from the Wiesbaden Museum. Dr. Simone Husemann, art historian, and Dr. Stefan Scholz, theologian, jointly organize these events. The artwork's own statements on God, the world and mankind, on the whole range of existential questions that affect us as human beings, offer visitors a multitude of points of reference. Art and faith are intrinsically related to each other; they fertilize each other and provide mutual impulses for processing reality. Today, both faith and art are related to the world.
